David Hulbert, CEO & Founding Partner
Mr. Hulbert has spent over 30 years in the Finance, Insurance and the Automotive industries. His success in acquisition and sales will be invaluable to Wonderlore’s mission of bringing meaningful family entertainment across all media platforms to people everywhere. Mr. Hulbert’s vast financial experience, as well as the relationships he has developed in the world of finance are an enormous asset to Wonderlore. The impetus behind Dave’s success is his love of people.
Anthony Fenton, President & Founding Partner
Mr. Fenton is an accomplished, strategically driven executive with over 30 years of experience, including Senior-Level officer positions with a variety of the largest US financial and insurance institutions. He is an equity owner in Studio South Holdings, Management Team Member, and Chief Relationship Officer (CRO).
Mr. Fenton has been involved with Studio South Holdings since its inception. He was instrumental in negotiations with a Federally-recognized Native American Tribe [Catawba Nation], when Studio South was exploring the opportunity for a full-service film studio. Mr. Fenton has an Executive Producer credit in the Studio South feature film "Invisible". He is also involved with Studio South's newest studio located in Greenville, SC: Global Studios.
Russell Hicks, CDO & Founding Partner
Wonderlore’s founder has a unique experience and second-to-none understanding of every aspect of the children’s entertainment industry, from creating iconic characters like Teddy Ruxpin, to breathing life back into forgotten properties like Scooby-Doo. For 18 years, Russell has brought his unique blend of passion, business strategy, and optimism to create beloved original properties including The Thundermans, Henry Danger, and The Loud House while growing SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - all of which flourished under his leadership as the President of Nickelodeon Production and Development. Under Russell’s direction, Wonderlore will develop, produce, and distribute high-quality, global family entertainment franchises across all platforms.
Brent Watts, CCO & Founding Partner
As CCO at Wonderlore, Mr. Watts leads strategic branding and franchise development for the content of the company. Mr. Watts launched his first design firm in 1995. With offices in New York, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City and Portland, his creative agency STRUCK, has done over $500M in creative revenue services, working with all the major studios in Hollywood to create and design franchises for some of the most sought-after brands in the children’s entertainment industry.
Bert Hesse, COO & Founding Partner
A founding member of Wonderlore Studios and CEO of Studio South Holdings, which manages Global Studios. Hesse’s productions have been distributed by Lionsgate and received awards at the Berlin Film Festival. Hesse is currently leading the legislative effort for the passage of the South Carolina Motion Picture and Digital Media Incentive Act.
Hesse's ability to read and interpret financial pages as well as film scripts make him an invaluable asset to the partnership.
